Hi all,
could you guys please give me some advice on a new exhaust system for my leon c 180bhp, on a 2000/1 plate, I'm looking for something that is an improvement on the standard twin box and would ideally like an oval, but nothing that sounds like a bean can stuck on the end, cheers

Blueflame have had good reviews by some (and we just happen to have agroup buy on the go right now). Other recommended systems are Milltek and a few have commented on Magnex. Only systems i've tried on other cars have been Magnex or Jetex, and of the 2, i preferred the Jetex.

Is the blueflame quiet on the motorway? I've heard the Miltek is. I do quite a bit of mileage so its important!

depends if you want cat-back or turbo-back
supersprint cat-back will be expensive for a rear system

In my experiance there are 3, Miltek imo are about the best you can buy, superbly made from high grade stainless steel, welds are umung the best and a perfect fit. The I would recomend supersprint and magnex both have superb build quality and fit. I would say the magnex has about the best balance for sound, cruising on motorways isn't a head banging experiance and when you step on the loud pedal you get a roar and when on idle you get a nice deep rumble. The Miltek and supersprint will how ever been more intrusive on the motorway and turn alot more heads. I found the magnex to the best balance for road driving and stealth as it comes with the same oval look as standard but it doesn't turn heads as much unless your a petrol head (and notice that thats not quite standard and think that its been tuned properly and not just a chav thats reveresed into halfords and came out with a cherry bomb on the back). On the track however I think the Miltek would have more of a proper race car sound which imo is just a bit much for road driving and to noisy for the motorway unless you like that sort of thing.
I cant comment on blue flame never experianced them and had mixed reviews on them

I paid £232.55 for the backbox and £74.69 for the center pipe which is the non resonated version.

This is with free fitting at my local specialist JKM in Pompey.

I 've been living with it for about 3 weeks now and it gets better every day.
Motorway driving is all I do and I have not found the sound to be intrusive, when on full beans it does have a lovely roar about it. I personally feel it's a great system for the quality and craftmanship of the product.

keep us posted on what you finaly decide and post some pics too!
