There's no such thing as a best remap, its entirely personal preference. Very few people on here have driven more than 1 LCR with different stage 1 maps so what you will mostly get is biased opinions, conjecture and hearsay.

Go with any of the reputed tuners on the forum and you wont be disappointed.

:yes:skahigh u should work for the UN :) thats very well put

i guess what i should have originally said was what type of remap will give my car better performance? i was under the impression that there were different types of remapping available, not just brands but actually the way they were done? maybe i was wrong....

stage 1 map is based on a stock car, so if its otherwise standard thats the one you want.

stage 2 map is often but not always done on a rolling road and they take into account extra mods such as uprated sports cat/zorst and tweak the map to suit

is that what you ment?

The maps themselves do of course vary between tuners and there are differences in the way the cars feel to drive however, the methods of mapping are more or less the same except with regards to traumapat's post above.

My point really is that asking people on the forum to recommend a map isn't really the best idea because most people will only have experience of their own map and will wax lyrical about it, I am yet to hear of anyone being disappointed by the map of any of the tuners recommended by the forum. All of the tuners on the forum come highly recommended and are tried and tested so just pick one based on price/distance from you and start enjoying your car that bit more. :)

Obviously there are people on the forum who have experience of more than one map who can give some comparison but most maps make similar peak torque/power so the differences are not going to be huge.

that said, iv got a stage 2 CustomCode remap - and a Revo stage 1 pulled faster than me [:@]

i might have had a bad experience, but i went back in and they said theres nothing else they can do to make me faster :(
aparently my boost is peaking at 2.5 bar which seems a bit too high...

2.5 bar? is around 36 psi. are you sure? i mean if this is on a k04. i dont think its capable of that. it would seriously wreck it in no time at all. that is like way too much psi. around 25 peak is high on those and holding around 20 ish is about right

might be worth you ring around a few other tuners to compare boost to bhp levels. im sure ive been told 20vts dont like high boost levels.

if your out gunned by a revo 1 car something must be amiss?

dont you have to subtract something off that figure? something to do with natural air pressure? 1000mbar rings a bell which i think is 1 bar.

peaking 1.5 bar sounds better than 2.5. but that would make your power down which fits with the revo car...

id ring CC HQ and check their maps should run at 2.5 bar and question the logs, if that dont work try another reputable tuner like jabba.

its either not hitting 2.5 or it could be holding all the power back because its hitting 2.5

hmmmm shouldnt that then be off-putting to someone thinking of a stage 1 CC map Faisal ??

which is why im giving my brutally honest opinion.

i will indeed, and i will check whats going on.ideally id rather just go for revo but iv missed the 20% discount window...i might even go for APR up in kirkaldy...
