Utter tripe. A standard LC can attain >40MPG with ease.

Granted yours as it is now, no. But standard? Give over.

over 4 years of ownership and 3 states of tune.... :shrug: you obviously know more than me so i must be a crap driver? 36/37 is the best ive managed and thats trying hard.

No no no not them magnet fuel savers off flea bay - I sent them a tech question......can you gaurantee I'll save fuel ? - They never relplied!!!!! :cry:

I manage 31mpg around town (& its standard) if I'm lucky & if I dont see any Saxo/Cleo/Fiesta/Corsa boy racers trying their luck [:@]

...taking it real easy listening to classic FM. If I was listening to hard trance I would have gotten there quicker but with about 12 MPG

Hard trance is also leathal to your licence!

One sunny morning, I was on an empty M-way, listening to said 'pulsing beats' - most invigorating. But the next thing I knew, the plain-green Omega (with 1 dull-looking wee man inside) I'd passed a few mins before was on my tail with 100s of blue lights flasing behind the grille, & matey was now wearing a distinctive & familiar dark-blue cap: "96mph, sir...?"

And to add insult to injury, when I said "Jeez!" cos of the length of time the points stay on licence (it was my 1st time), he started to lecture me on the bible, at which point I departed... :harhar:

So yes, "Choose Classic FM - it's great for mpg and your licence!"

i think the whole idea of the stereo getting louder the faster you go is a bad one..

especially during guitar solos:ban::redface:

Bought a 210 LCR ('03/45k/fSsh) yesterday & took car out for a wee acclimatisation drive last night, returned 2hrs 47mins later. :D

Had what you'd call a 'spirited drive' :whistle: - a mix of empty(ish) motorway & B roads + Gatso-infested dual carriageways & town - so was pleasantly surprised that the trip computer indicated 34mpg average at journey's end. :blink:

Best I got was about 39/40 just after I bought the car driving back from Reading and was probably averaging 70-75, just gotta be smooth with gear changes, and also chosing the right gear for the right speed, ie 2nd doing 50 isnt great, but 6th doing 30 is equally as bad, I always try to think of it as peddling a push bike, you have to get an optimum gear otherwise it uses far too much energy.

A 150 mile trip I do often sees an indicated 40-41mpg. All motorway at 70 on the GPS. LCR REVO stage II . . .

"40-41mpg" - good news. Mind you, the motorway section of my journey was conducted at, er, a wee bit more than 3500rpm in 6th - if you get my drift. :whistle: Which could imply that the 34mpg av was not bad at all?
