make sure you sand it well or it will peel off the chrome when you wash it

did u mask everythin else off? so u didnt spray the slats or does the bits i wanna paint come away from the grill?

The chrome S badge and the chrome surround comes apart. You end up with three parts... the S, the surround and the black slatted part.

take it it is a bumper off job or can u get it out without takin the bumper off

No you don't need to take the bumper off, remove the plastic strip on the landing panel and then you will see how the whole S badge / grill assembly unclips.
