i thought it be about time i made a build thread for my baby..comment welcome as always,

right then..to start with in the seat world it started with this, my moms little baby 1.2s 52 plate ibiza!, quite nippy, but too "famly-ish" for me. but i wasn't complaining at the fact i got it for free

Next on came the leon..FR 20vt 180bhp, brought for 11k, with 22k on the clock

then was to get to work tidying it up..so first up was to wash it, dry it, megs clay it, wash it, dry it, then megs clear glass..

to this..

then to declutter up the back..i wanted to leave the 20vt, so people knew it wasnt the deisel

then had to smooth that wiper up,

next was xenons..i heard a lot about dianne-shop, so i tried some 6k from there

as they arived,

original bulbs

one xenon, one original,

two xenons, looking very bluey, complete with the 6 head LEDs

wanted to go for an upgrade on the HU as the original one kept jumping over every little bump. i didnt realise how much of an effect a none oem looking HU could look..so i soon changed it..but here was the first change, clarion touch screen

in all fairness, it was a quality headunit, just stuck out like a sore thumb. so it got changed to something more OEM and a bit more flashy

next came the GOOD mods

jamex coilovers, £400 supply and fit with alignment done but midland VW

wanted to go lower, but jody had set the backs to match the fronts, but the fronts couldnt go any lower because of the locking bolts..therefore spacers were introduced. 15mm all round

then to wind them down (excuse the dirt)

quite close coming off my drive,

can see the proper height on flat ground,

then decided, "what does it matter if i have 20vt" so off it came

you can see how wide the spacers push out

then after about 2 weeks of the HIDs from dianne-shop, the driver side failed..so spent ages deciding i wasnt going to buy another set from there.

then a thread popped up, of a new shop, with slimline balasts, and a choice of colour temps. so i went for the 4300k for virtually the same price..

comparison against the fogs, with leds in

on there own with standard sidelights in

and now the glory shots, IMO i think they look a LOT better than the 6k, no blue, and they seem a lot brighter too

and one of the settled stance

nope, it be a special one! dont think there was that many of these produced..i didnt even know they made them till i went into the show-room!

paullec, il probly get some black dished rims with chrome lips eventually, as i think the euro look suits the facelift bumpers..but alloys arent high on my list atm..

haha, no thanks! and really wouldnt touch MIJ, had a few mates go there and got ripped off by them..list is:
arbs
carbonio or BMC
turbo back with sports cat miltek
custom code
then possibly wheels
