if you want louder valve venting think induction kit and a forge 007p recirculating valve. combination will sound nicer and not give you engine running problems like an atmo dv would.
advise is stay away from them on std ecu'd 1.8T's
Open cone filter + Forge recirc DV = subtle whooshy sound.

I'm getting the strangest feeling of deja-vu here!!!

Agree with Bill and several others here. Induction kit and uprated re-circ will give the desired noise without causing any possible problems with the running of the car.

I tried a GFB re-circ/atmospheric one the other week. Wasnt too impressed. Needed huge amounts of tinkering as it either leaked boost from being too soft or was too tight so did nothing. The car ran noticably worse with it on. Was entertaining for 10 minutes but then got annoying, sounded like a shopping bag was stuck under the car!

I've got a dynatwist air filter and forge 006 DV, and i've just reoved the case from the dynatwist to clean and gave the car a little drive, without the shield, and as said, open filter and recirc DV does give the dumpvalve sound!
