Forget about the BTCC/Aero bumpers and get the skirts and spoiler instead. Money saved will buy a decent map and something else fruity to go with it :)

I would have but it's a black car and I want something to give it presence. I've had a golf gti and fn2 type r, and visually the FR needs the full kit on a black car to compete. My opinion of course.

Also just bought some prolines too add to the bill lol

Well for £400 there's not much else at least bluefin you can put your cat back to standard without travelling round the country to do so.
Depends what you want from a map really and what you have to compare it to.
On the golf forum there's been a few bluefin people think there car was mega powerful until they had a rolling road day.
To the point some s3 drivers were only gaining 10 bhp and the graphs were all over the place.
I honestly think superchips don't give much gain but just lower the point where the original power was delivered hence people feeling the difference.
All my opinion but having tried one twice on 2 different cars I'm sticking with it.

On my R the bluefin tapered off earlier than stock. Although initially felt much stronger below 5.5k
The car seemed to go into over boost or safe mode in 3rd 4th 5th when pulling hard above 4k revs don't know why as it was boosting that hard.
Superchips wanted to blame my fuel pump saying it was faulty on a 4000 mild car!! Don't think so
Same fuel pump and running much more power no problems.

A bit off topic but I live near Leeds and have been quoted £350 plus vat for a custom remap from RS Tuning. Any opinions? Wonder if they do a discount for forum members as they have a page in here. How would this compare to let's say a Revo map?

I'm sorry for not listening to ur knowledge lol, I will next time, I was asked if I had a intercooler or a twintercooler, or if I had a bigger turbo or other uprated internals, I was told to much boost was made on my car, its had a new pcv, diverter valve oem from seat and a pflow.

They asked me the same and I said I had a pflow and catback exhaust and they said I'd moved the goal posts by adding the catback!!!

Especially when it ran fine standard.
Glad your getting a refund.
Best bet now is to save some money up and go with APR or Revo.
Or ptorque gets some good reviews and only £300?
