Am I right in thinking that the BMC will fit straight onto this pipe, or does that filter type thing (bit where plug is) need removing aswell?

Whats the pipe that I disconnected from the airbox there? Does it need to be reconnected?

And would it matter if I used a metal pipe to connect it, or does it need to be silicone i.e Samco hose?

Don't remove the 'bit with the plug' that's your MAF and its important (!), if it's the right kit for the Ibiza it should go right on unless you are missing something. The other pipe is for the secondary air injection, i presume there will either be somewhere on the BMC to connect it to or a second smaller filter to fit on the end.
 
its just a 45 degree bend boost pipe, cut down i dint use the plastic reducer you have just used a packing silicone tube to reduce the maf side of the blue pipe then this fits straight on your bmc, make sure your bmc is the right way round to, unless your sticker has been put on the other side should have a direction airflow arrow on it, got my pipe from sfsperformance as these have more play than forge boost pipe
 
Just fitting my bmc, ive got another tube coming out of the airbox goin down into the engine, looks important!wot shud i do with it??i think the maf is the bit that plugs in with all the wires, take it the bmc connects on just after that!stupid thing should have better instructions!
