They are single piston but the greater leverage from the larger disc makes a very big difference. Plus cosmetically they are larger and fill the wheel better. For a small outlay its well worth doing.

As a stop gap until I can afford the APs ive just painted EDs old set to go on :)

Yeah rear's will stay the same. If the racing brakes are factory ordered the rears come painted red rather than uncoated like standard.

If you buy them afterwards rather than from the factory you will also miss out on a spare alloy rather than steel wheel.

Yeh i read about the spare alloy in another thread. is in the same SIRA alloys that are on the car in the boot?

Looking into buying one but im wanting to keep my monthly payments down as much as possible and my dad gets discount off parts so when my birthday comes around that might be on the wish list!

out of curiosity how much is it going to cost for like new pads etc for the racing brakes when the time comes around? dont really want to have to fork out a fortune.
