Hello guys, new boy here.

I bought my 60 plate Bocanegra back in September (58k on the clock) and after about a month the following happened; I put my foot down (in sport mode) and just before it changed from 2nd to 3rd, I get the EPC and engine management lights on my display. Same has happened 5-6 times since, both in sport mode and using flappy paddles and only when reaching 5k-6k revs. Car goes into limp mode and I have to stop and restart the engine to get back to normal.
After having it looked into at a local garage, I was told there were no errors logged and given some dismissive answer about overheating. Anyone experienced anything similar or able to shed some light? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know someone with vcds?
You can make a data log when driving the car. A friend of mine had the same problems after data logging we had some faults like misfires that causes limpmode on the car.

Maybe you can trie this.

Thanks at0ny,
I suspect misfires with that being a common issue. I don't know anyone with VCDS but I guess the next step would be to take the car in to a VAG specialist.

Changing plugs and coil packs is a good start especially if your not sure when they where last replaced.
