Well my FK Bonnet Lifters from Volks Bits Arrived this morning.

Fitted them ok, however they do not seem to be able to hold the weight of the bonnet up, if i faff around with them a bit i can eventually get it to stay, but the slightest tap (ie a light tap with one finger) and the bonnet comes tumbling down.

Any one have any suggestions, i know a few people have used the Volks Bits struts with no problems.

Cheers

try doing a search for bonnet lifters fit and you'll find some with pictures etc... ne thread was by PhilW methinks... are your on the right way round????

Mine just hold the bonnet in place, and at a lower angle that the original bonnet stay would have done - so lesss space to get into engine area.

never had probs with mine, but unless the 'angle of the dangle ' is correct, the bonnet will drop due to its weight Vs gravitational pull Vs the therum of Pi Vs torque setting on the tightening of said parts Vs the reativity of vibration at the Earths core due to that confounded butterfly flapping its wings in China
;)

*can you tell im bored*??

mine are fitted the same way as all the pics i've seen,

and i've even tried fitting them upside down with exactly the same problem, i'm starting to think the FK lifters are just crap, the INXX ones i had on my old car were great!
