Bonnet Lifters

sorry mate. I do this on my mobile and some times it page jump's. The inxx ones are good. Fitted mine the other day.

No probs mate, do they hold the bonnet up ok?

mine hold the bonnet up fine, and even push is it up a fair way, maybe 2/3rds id say.

they hold it open more than full way due to the ones i have. amnd they hold it up no chance of it coming down even with wind

An old thread, but was searching bonnet lifters and came up with this, and have just ordered a set from volksbits. £19.99 for the lifters, came to a total of £26 including delivery/admin costs (??)/insurance/AND packing!! What do I want all of those for!?

Oh well they look awesome so it has been payed!

Ok the set I got don't seem to fit... Both rams seem to be the same, i.e. the ends that attach to the car are pointing in the same direction, is this right?

I can almost get it fitted on the passenger side, but it doesn't swivel round on the ball joint enough to reach the other joint.

And the drivers side I just can't see any way of attaching it to the actual bonnet...

Didn't know I could do that... Did give it a quick tug but didn't want to break them. Will give it a go.

Got them on now. Turns out they only fit the opposite way the german instructions told me to put them... But hey they are on now! Only thing I have against them is they are a little harsh when you let it go on its own when it comes to being fully open.

Part from that I love them!!
