this one wont fit...wrong size on the bolt to the hood to big...need another bolt

Fitted the lifters a couple of hours ago.
Only slight problem I had was the one on drivers side. Dunno if the bonnet is slightly off square, but the strut would firt to the 2 points. Had to force it a bit.
Also noticed that the passenger side now sits a little higher up against the wing (not sure if forcing the drivers strut into position caused this).
Anyway, all good.
Nice pop up when you pull the catch in the foot well. Makes quite a bang though when closing
Oh, and probably loose about an inch of head room. Oh well, it looks cooler now

here's another question, mine are fitted the opposite way as PhilW's and sparkie1984's. The "fat end" is attached to the bonnet not the wing. I copied the diagrams.
I was going to do them the was Phil and Sparkie has. Guess this doesn't make a difference?

surely your way though your pushing against the bonnet when its locked?
i dont get any probs with mine mate, a mate fitted mine, and he has an ibiza with the same kit and his is fine too?
i seem to recall him having to mess about with them a bit, maybe bend them ever so slightly to make them fit?
