Hi I'm about to fit my boost gauge on my leon cupra but can anyone tell me weres the easiest place to feed the vac pipe through to the car as I carnt seem to see any grommets? Also once it's in weres the best place to tee it into under the bonnet? Thanks everyone Matt.
Well mine is tee'd I to the dump valve vac pipe but I have also read the fpr is a better place, as for routing the hose remove the rubber seal by the scuttle and where the bonnet release cable runs in there is a plastic cover where the loom runs in you can drill a hole there but remeber to seal it up after so as not to cause a leak above the relay pack
Alright pal thanks for the reply and yes I've just managed to find something about the fpr is a better place and as for the pipe it self I will have a look when my lass comes back from shopping lol I'm dying to fit it and see what it's boosting at
I fitted mine not long ago. Take off the wipers and the scuttle panel and on the left there's a black box type bit where the main harness goes into the car. If you drill a hole in that it comes out under the dash if you remove the bottom half and gives good access to a power supply too. I connected the vac hose in between the hose that comes off of the DV and the hose that connects to the front of the inlet manifold. If you haven't done the n249 bypass im not sure that will work though and you might want to connect it to the fuel pressure regulator hose but I'm not 100% on that either. If your gauge came with a cheapy hose replace it with a decent rubber one because mine popped off and the turbo did not sound happy!
Cool well what model do you have as I have just a cupra 180 but not sure if it's been mapped and I'm running 1.1 bar so let me know and what mods have you got
Hiya mate yes already bought some blue silicone vac pipe for the job and she's home so please stay next to your phones incase I need you as my heads under the bonnet now lol and I've done the n249 bypass mate and mines a 04 plate cupra 180 but it suppose to have been remapped but we will see
