I've been looking around for a boost guage to match the rest of my dials ie white back with red needle and illumination. Found the autometer phantom for around £50 but I've heard they aren't too good. Can anyone reccomend any others in the same colour scheme preferably with a web link. Looks like I'll be going for a nomad pod even though I think they are over priced.

Also I think I'm going to fit an oil pressure guage, any recomendations??
 
I've never had a problem with any Autometer gauges before! If you fancy an Autometer Phantom give me a shout as I may have one for sale as I'm going to be buying a Lumar purely because I've already got the Oil Pressure & Volt in lunar from the 1.6 so want it all to match.
 
Sounds good craig, is it the 30 or 20 psi model?? will you be selling with the pod??

I've got an oil temp one as standard but its not working at the min so need to take a look.


Jonzy: do you have both gauges in a pillar pod, any pics?? Also do you have a fitting guide for the oil pressure, where do you get the feed from??
 
It'll be just the -30VAC/30psi guage and attachments, basically I'll be taking the new gauges out the box and leaving all the attachments there and putting the phantom in. The sender unit for the oil temp is on the top if the oil filter cooler ring if that's of any use.
 
JKing, no pics sorry. Im putting the oil pressure in this weekend. Theres a spare takeoff above the oil fiter housing, that has a m10x1 pitch thread, needed for the pressure sender.

Ive got the nomad pillar guage.
 
I've had no probs with my Phantom, love it, looks great!

Got pic on my phone, but I can't get it on comp till later, don't mind texting it if someone will host it up...

Lights up Red or green,... you get a normal bulb with a red and a green cover. Some people get red LEDs for them, but the red glow looks fine on mine!!

What do people reckon to the Swoosh gauges?

There meant to be a good make along with Defi aren't they?

I was looking at a multi colour gauge they do where oyu can select 7 diff colours and red/amber was one of the choices so it will match the cupra dials :D

I have a SPA boost and egt gauge. It was rather exspensive compared to others out on the market (£300), but as there arnt many gauges out there that read over 34psi, i was pretty screwed. see here http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=ROAD&pcode=P/EDG211
I chose the all black one with red/green back light. You can then change which colour you want (red or green) and the brightness aswell, so it can match the colour of the standard gauges/dials. Its an excellent piece of kit and well worth it IMHO.
 
ok think im going to go ahead with these two gauges. Anyone know where i can get a two pod pillar post for my lcr for a cheapish price in black????
