Ok so my leon cupra r 03 plate has a strange issue
The car was boosting fine until one day the boost guage read way to high and the boost sounded like it was being dumped with a big whoosh as I was accelerating. I stopped driving it asap because I didn't like the idea of the turbo over spooling and blowing something up. Anyway got it on vag com and no codes showing.
The only way I can describe it is like a clutch slipping but with the turbo if that makes any sense. The boost guage rises and the car slowly starts pulling but no where near like it did and the boost guage goes off the scale.
So far I have changed the n75 valve which gave the aggression back to the turbo but still the turbo guage goes off the scale and it intermittently boosts now.
I have checked for boost leaks visually and can't see anything and the garage it's currently in can't seem to locate anything either
I was wondering if anyone has had similar or know what it could be before I start spending money chasing the problem and replacing parts I don't need to.
Thanks and hope you can help
