Boost leak?

How do you really know if you've got a boost leak?
My 225 has got an induction kit fitted so it you can hear the turbo spool up and the 007p dump slightly. But i'm sure i can hear a whistle from the O/S of the engine when on boost. It's just hard to tell for definate as the induction kit makes lots of noises. Might just be paranoid, doesn't seem to loose boost or anything like that.

Im not sure about checking for boost leaks, but i think it will just be normal, because even though the direction of the air flow is going away from the o/s boost pipe, i reckon you will still here it.

What induction kit did you go for ? Has it made alot of difference?

The induction kit was already fitted to the car it's a nuespeed kit with a nuespeed heat sheild around it. If i still had the standard air box i'd swap back then listen for leaks.
If i had a leak would it put the EM light on? (It's not on by the way, just wondered)

I wouldnt have thought so, unless it was loosing alot of boost!
