Boot lock squeaking?

When I unlock the car im getting and odd squeeking noise from the boot lock but not when I lock it.

Havent had a chance to WD it yet but im just hoping it doesnt need a new mechanism!

Anyone else had this?

yeah mines the same, its a really simple mechanism

lots of people have had problems in the past with the boot not locking and sometime not unlocking

its basically a long pin with plastic clips, and its usually greased up abit, taking the plastic cover away you'd see what im on about

Sorry to drag an old post back up but can this be re-greased without taking the boot trim off?

Mine's just started making a squeaking noise when unlocking today

Not really - You'll need to take the trim off, but that only takes about 2minutes!
