No worries, I've had it almost 2 years now and I love driving it (I had a sub 30mpg drive the other day ;) ). Covered over 20k in it now, it's just about to hit 100k :O

I'm actually thinking about changing it for a FL Cupra next year just cause I want more power and would like to go petrol. However I'm not sure I need more power seeing as I had a NIP come through the other day for doing 46 in a 30 :(

I'm yet to find out, but I doubt it!

I had the car go in to limp mode because of the DPF filter about 2 weeks after getting the car, had that sorted by Seat and now just make sure I drive it to keep the filter working (tend to keep it above 2k revs). Also had a problem with the gear box mount but it's pretty common apparently.

Oh and now I've got a broken O/S/F coil spring but that is just wear and tear.

Think it could be just too far over the limit mate.

Doesn't sound too bad for 20k, I guess every car has it's faults! I'm coming from a vRS Octavia that is absolutely brilliant but I need something with better MPG but still having that 'fun' factor.

I want a Leon TDi now after test driving one yesterday. 140 BHP is more than enough. 1.4 feels sluggish compared to the 2.0 engine with a turbo! As for cambelt change I think its 4 years...

LukeRs, make sure they do and stamp your service book. As the cambelt change is expensive, many hours on labour you see. I think if your car is 4 years old its due now.

Hi I had a FR Tdi 170 the cam belt is due every 4 years/60k miles, I got my mate to change mine for 130.00 inc belt. as for mpg i got on average 42 mpg, make sure you give the car a good run as they dont like short journeys due to dpf not getting to temp.diesel engine is strong , just changed to a cupra facelift got a cambelt sitting in garage if you need one along with 2 oil filters.only down the road in manchester if you need any info

£130 thats really cheap! I paid almost £300 for mine at an Audi specialist as other garages was quoting Almost £400. I got the water pump changed at the same time too!

Thanks mate, £130 isn't bad for changing the belt either and thanks for your help.

Nice welcoming bunch on here.

The car will be used to cover 35 miles of A road and motorway each day so should be okay DPF.

As said the cam belt is 4 years or 80k( whatever comes sooner) The belt is still under tension even if it's sat on your drive for 4 years.
