Been to see REVO VAG SPECIALISTS today for them to get the cat back MILLTEK...REVO stage 1.. sps box... doing job next Monday.... anyway was going to have them do the FORGE BOV for me... but they recommended not to put one on.... as it could be detrimental to our car not just our , but most of the VAG GROUP.... the same as SLINTER 26 says. the chap has seen quit a few cars with problems... and it is defo down to this spacer, and said the car will loose a little power, as too much air escape..... sorry i dont know how engines run, i just know how to drive them, me thinks.... so hence, i will not be getting one on his say so , he should know !!!!! urrrrrrr i did realy want one. oh well........................................................

you don't loose power or boostpressure with spacer. my car made 210hp with remap and spacer the same as a car without spacer

i must say im prepared to listen to revo on this....why would you turn down easy money fitting a spacer in an economic down turn like we're having where every little counts unless:

1) He's just THAT lazy

2) From his experience it does cause problems and he was being very honest

good point but on the other hand why would a brand like forge make a product that doesn't work ok with our cars.

hmmm maybe to fill a gap in the market till they had finished their full BOV the £150ish one....only reason i could think of

It's works fine however over time it can have some unwanted effects that aren't worth it for a woosh sound. I had it on my car when i had the map put back on, having taken my car out to test the new map he came back and suggested i remove it as it's **** and can result in the a for mentioned problems etc. It isn't causing them any financial gain to say that

yeah but the new one also blows the boostpressure in the open world so than that one would give the same problems. as i said before the little device on the turbo already blows the pressure out in the air only does this pretty silent(you can hear it slight) and the spacer makes the sound louder.

this i find strange. in normal situations if something effects the working principel of a system it takes its effect immidiately not in a few months or so. i am a car mechanic myself so i know my way in cars only not in the tuningbranche. so maybe i completly wrong

I have very limited knowledge on the subject so when i first heard it from the local dealer i didn't know what to believe, having it backed up by revo though is enough for me to give it a second thought.

think i may have to give this a pass i dont want to damage my car think ill carry on making the tsss noise on my own as i do now

if have your window down you can hear the standard bov working
