they will not help fade one bit , thats a function of the pads ,........

Actually fade is far more complex than pad choice.

Fade is caused by Heat (as everyone knows). The parts that can be affected are: Discs, Pads, Brake fluid and Hoses.

Discs and pads - As everyone knows that too much heat in either reduces the friction between them and so affects braking power.

Brake fluid - Even the best bled systems will contain some air and even the newest fluid will have some water in it. When air is heated it expands and becomes more compressable. When the fluid is heated the water in it evaporates and joins the air already in the system thus reducing braking power (by reducing the transfer of pressure from the master cylinder to the calipers).

Hoses - Hoses will also heat up under braking. Standard hoses will become more prone to expansion as they are heated, thus reducing the amount of pressure transfered from MC to Caliper. Metal hoses of course expand, but only to an insignificant amount compared to standard so they will reduce the amount of heat related loss in performance of the braking system - ie brake fade.

Well like I said, this is me getting back to you all about my thoughts of the EBC Ultimax discs and DS2500 pads.
I finally got my clutch changed and car serivced, the clutch had been run in by my wife due to me being offshore :)
So due to the snow it was alot more of a mild thrash than I wanted but....
The brakes are growing on me a bit more, there was definately more grab and the stopping power does seem very good.
More testing will be done on this;) with results.
And I don't think I've made the wrong choice:)

The Kingdom!
I think it must be the discs that are causing problems!

I had DS2500's, braided hoses and dot 5.1 on brembo max discs on my clio and they were amazing! i'm gonna get a set of DS2500's ASAP.

Where is cheapest for them? Badger5?
