help fade one bit , thats a function of the pads ,........
Actually fade is far more complex than pad choice.
Fade is caused by Heat (as everyone knows). The parts that can be affected are: Discs, Pads, Brake fluid and Hoses.
Discs and pads - As everyone knows that too much heat in either reduces the friction between them and so affects braking power.
Brake fluid - Even the best bled systems will contain some air and even the newest fluid will have some water in it. When air is heated it expands and becomes more compressable. When the fluid is heated the water in it evaporates and joins the air already in the system thus reducing braking power (by reducing the transfer of pressure from the master cylinder to the calipers).
Hoses - Hoses will also heat up under braking. Standard hoses will become more prone to expansion as they are heated, thus reducing the amount of pressure transfered from MC to Caliper. Metal hoses of course expand, but only to an insignificant amount compared to standard so they will reduce the amount of heat related loss in performance of the braking system - ie brake fade.
