I drove my car back from Leicester the other day, literally as I got to my car park the car made a pop sound (like the undertray had fell off) and then spluttered to parking space.
Anyway RAC diagnosed the brake servo/booster pipe that leads down behind charge pipe (that has the foil sleeve on it) was split in two. He has sealed it up temporary but after double checking he didn't re fit the heat sleeve for this pipe.
My garage is 19 miles from me can I drive it without this sleeve or will it be dangerous and likely to melt anything and cause a fire.
**Edit**
I did ring Mr RAC back and be said it will be fine as that sleeve is literally just a precaution and be says as it's one trip it will be ok. ???
