I hope someone can shed some light on the prob I have with my brake fluid res.

My low brake fluid warning light came on along with the beeps. I topped it up and all was fine. A few days later the same thing happened but as I checked the level I discovered the cap for the fluid res was loose and I know that I tightened it up. So I topped it up again and tightened the cap. I checked the cap again this morn and it was loose.

Any ideas why this could be happening all the time?

fairys? mate no idea i have never had this on any car i have worked on. make sure there is not excesive fluid in there tighten the cap up and try it again, then if it works lose dont undo it. just tighten it a bit more dont take it fully off.

make sure it is not cross threaded. or its going on at a funy angle causing any vibration to knock it off.

That's what keeps happening, keeps working loose. I topped the res up with some fluid but give it 50-100 miles and it's beeping again.

Doesn't seem to be leaking from anywhere but did take a bit of extra fluid!

I'm getting the same thing, took it to garage they topped it up, was fine, now doing it again, did you sort it in the end or still topping up every hundred miles :) and the beep is bloody annoying driving round!

My cap is also always lose, i have never lost any fluid though. But it seems no matter how tight i manage to get it a week later it is undone to finger tight

No, it was lose when i got the car and did my first check over it. The cap tightens up fine just seems to always be lose, I put it down to my tractor engine strapped next to it.
