brake lights

Hi there,

just noticed that, and this only happens if the weather is damp, (been raning, raining, drizzle or anything) which is classic leon leaking , my brake lights come on about 1-2 seconds after i press the pedal, doesnt bother me and i dont think there is anything i can do but i guess it could actually potentially be quite dangerous in the dark if i had to brake hard, any ideas what i should do, go to Seat mabye? also been towing my 1.3 tonne boat around with it and it is only an S but there still a lot of grunt though, was very impressed!

Last thing is how can you tell if your turbo is on the way out?

many a thread on leaks, but check nothing is wet in the footwell area front & back driver & passenger side after rain
seems you can get leaks from;
door seals
pollen filter poor fitment
behind fuses under dash on driver side
tubing loose on passenger side
rear washer leaking & tube by boot light

so make sure all is dry

check light clusters are dry
changing switch is £10 and 20min job so nothing to loose that way

Hi there and thanks for the reply, i know there are many links about leaks as i have changed all the door seals with the help of some of them and dont think there is anything coming in from under the dash! i will check the back and i can do all this myself, dont get me wrong, but i thought its potentially very dangerous and should be something seat sort out no, rather than spending my own money be it only £20? light clusters are dry, brake lights not coming on for 1-2 second in the dark braking hard? surely a basic safety feature, or do i have no choice as i am out of warrenty?
