can i have a recommendation from you knowledgable people as to which are the best for a reasonable sum, brake discs, pads etc i should/can get for mu cupra sport 8v.Can't splurge loads as very expensive week but they need doing n can't really be without em:help: could be problematic:help:!!

2nd hand mk3 cupra brakes are good.
zimmerman pads are also recommended
G60 brakes work well - same set up iirc as ibiza cupra sports.
or go to GSF and just buy the standard brakes

ive just got myself some zimmerman cross drilled discs and mintex xtreme pads, they squeel a bit but looks great with the lil holes hehe. errm (as above) u could get some brembo discs from gsf think their £23 a pair and pagid fast road pads ...i would have got that set up but they didnt have it, tried to flogg me off with Jurid.

Yeh i bought some zimmerman cross drilled discs but bought EBC green stuff pads. CAn't complain about the braking, they are really good. Think it came to just over £100 from gsf.

Oh it's a big one! We have a big bite here.....

Nah only messing!

Depends what you want, keep with standard, 280mm from the 16v, 305mm from Cupra R.

I've been using Pagid Fast Road pads on the rear with DS2500 on the front but I know one of my mates (Mk3 Ibiza 20vT) have been using Pagid Fast Road on the front and they pretty good.

If you can get hold of grooved discs, with pagid pads or any of the above people have been recommended you can't go wrong I think!

had a ring round, may have to go standard due to limited funds at mo but prices as follows
europarts-standard discs £19.69each +vat
pads-£18.80+vat
gsf-standard discs-£25+vat each
pads-£21+vat
pagid fast road pads-£38.80
are these prices sounding right?
europarts don't do uprated n man at gsf said he needs my brake codes to bring up named parts, where d'ya find em?

looked on fleabay mintex pad and disc set,any good?,some brembos listed but don't seem to have 2.0i listed as compatible althogh ebay.de does but can only see box not discs, have to translate!! Arrghh, all this searching for differnt car bits is doing my head in!!!

i'm running EBC dimpled discs and green stuff pads on the front. The whirring noise they make is quite cool once you get used to it and they dont fade too badly when all hot and bothered.

I wouldnt buy them again though, i'll prob uprate to bigger discs the next time i have to replace them and give the pagids a chance

i had the whirling noise when i was running these, its basically the sound of a spaceship slowing down lol, it sounds quite cool actually and isnt as intrusive as it sounds like it would be its VERY hard to describe lol!!
