£ search the for sale i think it was mork or flapper had some for sale depending on it it was a 2 pin or 4 pin switch.

Four pin switch is about a tenner from vw seat etc ten minute job mate. Very very simple.

cool! as there is a VW garage literally 30 seconds from my work Il pay them a visit tomorrow, also does anyone know the name of the triangular clips you find in the boot lid trim that twist? Bearing in mind there are 2 types of these and the ones im after are the smaller ones. cheers

what year car etc is it ?

if it's 2pin i have a load of new ones here for the price of an envelope and a stamp

If you are going vw then take the old one with you as they cant always pull the item up by part number.

I've got the brake switch from seat not bad price £6.89 inc VAT. Shame they dont stock the boot trim clips
