wire still in the pads or you fused it together?

id strip the sensor out and check it, could have blown the sensor...

vagcom will confirm this for you

What part on vagcom do I check, as I'm sure I checked the abs and
other associated brake catergories and nothing came up

Well I've been out tonight and the light suddenly decided to turn off, but 10 mins later it pinged back on again :(

Dodgy connection then, the wear sensor is only a piece of metal what creates a curcuit when it touches the disk, its probaly come out of the pad, my old pads did it but changed them anyways.

Mines just started doing this! Any news?
Just so i understand what im looking for, can anyone confirm that the pad/disc connectiion SHOULD be open circuit (no current), that then makes a contact once the pads wear, making a closed ciruit, and thus tripping the alarm?
Surely tho, if that is the case, when the pads are unplugged, the ECU wont see a fault?
