me too but David has assured me then indicator can be just snipped off. though as you said in this day and age i would have thought my car would have had a wear indicator fitted as standard.

Well good news is....16" wheels do fit with a 312mm set up.

i take it you are upgrading also then? when I get a good day i'll get round to doing it the weather here is just not the best at the moment and i dont have a garage!

He's referring to my 16" alloys that we trial fitted to Lee's Mk5 Golf with 312's, before we then went on to attempt to fit the 345's to his Golf

Unfortunatley we were missing a part of the brake hose set-up, so were unable to fit the 345's

Which means we weren't able to take the 312's off, and I'm still running 288's !

i have my 312mm set now just waiting for a good day to fit them and get the calipers painted.

Finally got my 312mm front brakes done, due to the good weather and me being off work for the week.

I was wondering has anyone upgraded the rear brakes? I think mine are 255mm (need to check) though noticed on ETKA there are 286mm as well though there is no difference in Calipers, pads or carriers part numbers would appear to be the same. just seems strange the carriers are not needed to be replaced.

Any thoughts?
