HI all.

I'm new in this forum and I'm new in the seat world... and I'm from Brazil.

I bought last weekend a Seat Ibiza FIA N2 Rally car.

this car was a national champion in N2 series in 2002. And it is in very nice conditions now.

But I'm not sure what kind of engine the car has.

Can you guys help me?

I'm not sure about it. The seller told me that it is the 1.8 liter 16v. but I'm not sure if this is a 16v head.

Thanks in advance.

More pics of the new toy.

8v crossflow.. did'nt know the mk3 had them fitted ever.

the way it fits round the coolant bottle suggests it probably wasn't the original engine.

can just about make out a fly by wire throttle I think?

Thanks a lot guys.

the shocks are bilstein whith eibach coilovers...

did have any picture of the 1.8 16v seat engine?

Cheers

mOrk.

What size is the wheels and tires of the car in your signature?

Craig.

Are you sure?

sorry to ask... but if you are right, the seller will need to give me some money back.

Thanks again.

can you see the engine code anywhere on the engine?
that will give us the best clue

or

the ECU number on the case?

there you go,in standard form, cept a pipe and filter

rocker has the oil filler in the wrong place for a 1.8/2.0 16v

if ?? thats the matching timing belt to the motor - give us any letters and numbers you can find

but then being a rally car it could have had a mix matched induction on it to improve the torque

bottom end fittings looks std enough though and definately a transplant i'd say
