Little update - I'm away with work for the majority of the coming week and insurance runs out this month so I've decided to take the car off the road of of today and start doing some work on it.

Plans for Christmas/ New Year are:

- Grind down, paint, polybush and fit new hubs, disc guards, discs to a spare rear beam I have.
- Fit bucket seats, harnesses, harness bar and roll cage.
- Thinking about getting a Peloquin diff and Rear anti roll bar too but that might be waiting for a few months.

I went on the rolling road at Marlin Motorsports in Milton Keynes this weekend and made 418.5bhp with the TT Forum :D

After that I went to Silverstone to meet a mate and PureGT, met a few decent guys down there along with some SERIOUS metal, pictures to follow.

My mate (who drives Renault Cup cars for them) took my car out for 5 laps at Silverstone and it really highlighted to me a few handling things which need to be sorted out before I give it a go myself!

Oh and btw I've bought a full OMP roll cage - thanks to 4wdibiza.

Can't get enough of it, I said I was going to spend next year saving for a deposit on a house but I don't want to stop the project yet. As for power I was hopin for 400bhp really, anything more is a bonus :)

Great figures Joe.

You had gearbox work done havent you? So it should cope with this power?

Cheers :) my gearbox has standard, but brand new, internals. At the moment without a diff I don't think it's taking that much strain because the wheels are allowed to spin. Once the diff is fitted I'm not 100% sure on how long it's going to last

Cheers Gaz, hopefully you'll get back on track with yours. Once you start it's so addictive, you'll remember the feeling soon enough.

Sorry to bump this old pic up mate, but where did you get this paint from? Is it from a can?

Cheers :)

LMJ - it's hammerite black of some description, I think hammered black is what it's called. Got a lovely sparkle to it though.

Haha, I'm assuming that the deposit's out of the window for now then?

Spray can is it? You didn't dismantle it prior to spraying? (Anal I know! :p)
