Joe, i would have asked for my money back.

Transmission loss is rediculous. 30% loss?

Max power attained at: 6210

Max rev attained 6215

Why wasnt it taken to 7200-7500rpm?

Phil - it wasn't about the money, it was going along to a good day out.

I agree though the loss from transmission to engine power is rather large, equally as James pointed out, it seems the MAHA dyno seems to do that.

I asked him why he didn't take it higher and he said "I wouldn't" I left it at that, whilst still being puzzled.

As I say I want to get it on some other dyno's to compare figures, however it is a beast and no matter what power it is she put a smile on my mates face after he drove it round Silverstone, he drive a Porsche GT3RS.

Typical maha figures. I know Martin (the dyno operator) very well and he usually revs as high as you ask him to unless something doesn't feel right.. Bloody should have reved it though. I want to see the cars true power.

As Alex said it seems to follow a trend with the Maha rollers.

Feels fine on the road, I reved it to 7200 a fair bit :p. So Alex, you think there's more power there to be had?!

bring it here for a comparison run if you like.
it wont be maha figures mind you. atw figures plausable, but not coastdown losses like a maha generates.

wellys FP Green S3 (my old turbo) 370atw=411bhp Real figures

Hi Bill, I think I might take you up on that. It's only going to give me something else to go on.

Do you think having 2 seperate rollers and a standard diff could cause a difference in drag between wheels?

That % loss on Welly's seems a lot more realistic. It will have New Year now though.

I am not sure why Maha's seem to gather such high rolling losses.. maybe their bearing systems are uber tight - lol..

atw figures do seem comparible to what I see for same spec turbos, just their @fly figures grow at exponential rates.. which is a bit misleading I think. Great for folks using maha to sell stuff tho against @fly figures :p

I agree, I do think the figures are optimistic. I can't see it being more than 30bhp out though. Maybe 390bhp odd...I dunno.

I will pop over in the new year Bill.

I want to be realistic, I think 420 odd bhp is a little high for a standard head... Largeport head then maybe.

Run 2.0bar of boost Bill, however I am open loop so that changes with the atmospheric pressure. Seen highs of 2.1bar and lows of 1.9bar

Right so after forever looking at the rear of my car and thinking something's bent I've decided to replace the rear beam to see if that cures the problem. The drivers side rear wheel had some serious negative camber (-2 degrees) so something wasn't right.

Dropping the old beam

Here you can see I've aligned both beams and I'm not 100% sure but if you look at both ends of the two beams you can see the original (lower) sits in at the top

Good excuse to give it a good refurb, lick of paint.

In the picture you have dropping the old beam out, are the main bolts slack? The two that attach it to the lugs on the underside of the car.

Just curious, because if there still tight there and the beam simply dropped down to that position when you removed the suspension I would say that the rear beam has been off before.

Not really Bill, highest EGT's I've seen are around 880 degrees and that was after I had a load of fuel pulled out to run 12's rather than 10's. I have a lot of protection in the mapping. Even after 5 laps of Silverstone on full chat the highest EGT I saw were 840 degs.
