Hey guys. Had a look online and not found them for my car. Im after a new shim kit for my calipers and the screws that go with them. Its a53 plate leon cupra r. Or anyone know if seat can source them? Any help is much appreciated!

Can't you just remove the shims clean up the corrosion and refit old shims? It's the caliper that corroded as they are alloy not the stainless steel shims.

I was thinking it was the shims that were leaking but they could be fine and it cud just be the alloy calliper-have a look and let u know-cheers.

It's disimilar metal corrosion taking place between the two types of metal touching each other. When I was an aircraft mechanic we had the same trouble with the steel clip nuts that holds the floor boards down touching the aluminium alloy floor beams. It was always corrode the alloy. The same thing will happen to your alloy callipers. I had that trouble on my ap Calipers on my mk4 Ibiza cupra but I couldn't get the screws out to remove the shims so j just ground the edges of the pads down until they fitted. I haven't checked my brembos on my LCR yet so it will be interesting to hear how easy your shims are removed.
