Broke down!

Broke down yesterday after driving with the trip computer saying I had 10 miles left to fill up so was on the way to the garage and it cut out!

Fearing the worst I proceeded to walk to the garage and get a can full of fuel, luckily it started straight after filling but just wondering why this happened as I have been running on 0 miles left before and not brokendown!

This happened to anyone else?

yep
mine was reading 20 a few weeks ago, as rolled into petrol station it cut out and i coasted to the pump
took about 56/57litres iirc to fill the bugger

i never trust it, i go on how many miles its done since last fill

Was just unluckly this time then! Just don't like the fact my trip comp is lying to me!

its like the average mpg-there's no where my car returns 38mpg on a drive home from work (motorway and town and queing)
