Well I decided the other day I wanted to change the aerial on the ibiza for a smaller one, I pulled the aerial off (not an easy job). Well I got an Aerial and fitted it, but now I get loads of crackling noice, even when I put the old Aerial back in. Any fix for this? O and yes I have an Aerial aplifier fitted

i think it might the the new aerial despite the booster, i done the same with one of those richbrook sabre aeriels and ended up putting the standard one back on mate

even with the standerd one its bad. Not amazingly bad but worse than it was berfore, not sure if I might have broke something

i got a civic one on mine.... good cheap mod...well free mod :)

no problems here with the honda stubby...................

to ghet the aerial off unscrew it and give it a good tug and it will unclip the first time you go it it will be very stiff but dont be shy!

I used a claw-hammer and a dishtowel on my Toledo (Aeriel is the same) and it came off no problems with that.

Guinness, if ur havin probs still u might have stetched or snapped the wire at the base of the aerial, or even at the base! Try sticking in an aerial you know works like off a mates car, then at least u know its ur aerial thats bust! Those alloy style richbrook aerials are crap, dont work at all! Iv got a civic/s2000 one on mine works perfectly! Sell em on ebay for about £8 iirc! :D

i went for the pull it as hard as i could approach and it worked alreet :)

i thought the MK.4 aerial was anti-theft kind of thing?

so basically i unscrew the orginal arerial, then just yank it from the mounting still attached to the roof of the car, then just screw in the new aerial?
