Turner finishes Second Practice in 4th with a best lap time of 1:18.693 and Jase down in 8th with a best lap time of 1:19.004.

Adam Jones in the TAC petrol Leon down in 10th with a time of 1:19.164. Just ahead of reigning Champion Fabrizio Giovanardi with a time of 1:19.186. If my judgement and knowledge of time difference is near to correct Jones is about 22 thousanths of a second faster???

Not a great session, not sure what they were struggling with, because they were both the fastest through the speed traps, their sectors were not great though. So something wasn't right with the setup for sure. :(

But they have speed, so it may work out different during the races.

Does the fact Jase and DT deffinitely had a better Sector 2 time than in Sector 1 in qualifying not mean anything?

8th for Jase in Sector 1 but 4th in Sector 2 and 6th for DT in Sector 1 and 5th in Sector 2. They were good when it mattered. They weren't consistently good in both Free Practice sessions but in Sector 2 were better than Sector 1 during qualifying.

Regarding the speed traps what and where are the speed traps and how do they work? It is just I noticed though they weren't that hot in many of the Sector times they were the two fastest in the Speed Traps in every session. If they weren't the fastest in the Sector Times how could they be the fastest in the Speed Traps?

memorys right one of speed traps is on ( past for some guys ) braking point .

also you say there quicker at the speed traps but times down yes thats right but the balance of the car is not right so therre for time is lost on the sweeping corners as the car is more than likly unbalanced so over all times are down ?

but as we all know the race is always difrent t.o.c will fall of by lap 5 i bet

A reminder that the coverage from Thruxton, starts on ITV4 at 12.30pm

Race 1 is shown as delayed coverage, as it's already happened. But you'll see the full race.

Races 2 and 3 are shown LIVE.

If you know the result of race 1 please don't post it up, because I'll have to get medieval on you. ;)

Plato disqualified for failing ride height after race 1. So stripped of 3rd place and will start Race 2 from the back of the grid. So expect him to be well fired up!!

Race 2 LIVE on ITV4 in a short while.

not chuffed about the disqualification given that sheddon got away with the same thing earlier.........still hands up for a superb drive to redeem some points in race two

also not happy with neal (as usual) putting dirty move on turner in r2 and costing the places

Great win for JP. and thankfully the man from TOCA he say yes this time!! No ride height issues. phew!

Shame for Darren, overall tough weekend and i think they managed to recover something positive from it.

Could have been worse for the team, but VX Racing are looking pretty unstoppable again. :(

I'll have to get my old DVDs and videos out, but I'm sure there didn't used to be so many punctures at this race prior to the last two years.

im asuming when looking at the team points tables that VX R only score with 2 of their 3 cars - otherwise its a p*ss take?

they were fast but it really is an advantage running 3 cars, mainly for protection and positioning. wonder if seat will ever run a 3rd
