Just saying to m0rk, i think a banner or maybe some t-shirts are in order. Crapitz is a **** or some similar worded statement of fact.

Anyone else think Giovanardi is putting on his bad english to get away with the tough questions, like Manuel in Fawlty Towers.

Maybe he'll use it with the Clerk of the course and he will be as bamboozled as Crapitz was and tell Turner he has 6 grid penalty for being in Gio's way.

Rather disappointed that Gio decided to get rough when he proabbly had the pace to pass fairly in the end. :banned:
Shame for Darren, having met him in Banbury on Thursday - he's a real top bloke and deserved better.

Hopefully be able to attend the last round, where SEAT should be strong.

Questionable driving by the Vauxhall squad again. Disappointed in Giovanardi, didn't think he needed to resort to those sort of tactics. Don't even get me started on Onslow-Cole........

Good day's racing though, thoroughly enjoyed it. Adam Jones was brilliant! :)

How much money is in the scn piggybank Z? Think there is enough to get some advertising on the seat team cars for brands a la crapitz?!

Defo agree about the langauge thing. Seems he isnt so good at english when he is being questioned about bad things!

I doubt Seat would want to upset the only broadcaster with stuff like that, but it may be worth asking one of the indies... ;)

Not enough to waste it on crapitz. He does a fine job of ridiculing himself though without our help.

Anyway, that's the way the cookie crumbles as they say. Hopefully JP can bag a couple more wins at Brands. He needs 1 more to match his record of wins in a season and 2 more to beat it.

If we can come away with that from the season, it's something at least.

Dunno. BTCC seems more light hearted than some of the other big race series and you know it would be soooo funny!

Brands is my favourite track but not sure how god it will be for the dervs. Will be an interesting end to the season.

Question is what will happen with BTCC coverage next year now F1 will not be on itv. Hopefully it will carry on as it has done this year or maybe even make it onto itv1 abit again to fill the F1 gap. I just hope itv dont decide to move away from motorsport and not show or just do crappy highlights etc although I doubt it with the amount of interest it has.

Yeah, we had a great day ouy yesterday (the kids enjoyed the free bumpers card rides!!!). I has wondered what was going in with Platos cars in the last two races, it seemed like he always lost performance in the last 1/3 of the race giving plaes away (maybe the change of set up explains this (not yet seen the ITV4 footage).

Brilliant drive from Jackson.

A big thumbs down to the mic bloke on the Vauxhall stand who i felt was rubbing all of VXR's success was we walked back to the car ...

At the end of the day it's a Vauxhalll, so were all winners even when we lose. :cartman:

Not been to BTCC for a while but really enjoyed both days at Silverstone. Thought the racing was really entertaining and the wet on Sunday added to this. Driver of the weekend for me was Mr Jones, a nice bloke he is too. Was a bit disappointed with the SEAT merchandise (or lack of it) in the 'commercial area' - thought they could have made a bundle on SEAT brollies !

Gotta agree, never too much around in the way of SEAT merchandise, but then again, I'd rather they pump ALL of their cash into getting a reliable car for next season

At least they'll actually do some shake-down work on it for next season instead of turning up with a brand new package at the first weekend with no real knowledge of it, and have a rough idea of settings that do/don't work to give them a good base point for the weekend :)

Winter testing must be key to 2009 success, and they know it. They can't not test this winter, they need to keep developing and learning more about the car if they genuinely want to compete at 888 Vauxhall's level.

Easy to criticise from the side-lines, but I really want them to lessen the mistakes and be as successful in 09 as I know they can be.

Must be said it was an awesome day despite the weather and I particularly enjoyed the banter wit ha load of VXR geeks sat just behind us in the Luffield stand. I'd have come down with the barmy army if i'd seen ya but was glued to the racing so didn't notice!

As m0rk pointed out we can be very difficult to spot, seeing as we're so discrete, shy, retiring and almost perfectly camouflaged..... ;) see picture in post 1

It was a great days racing despite the results and Adam Jones is certainly due a factory drive next season.

All those interested in a good laugh and good racing should join us at Brands on the 21st. Hopefully the full hospitality unit will be in operation if we can get planning permission

It would be great to show that we really appreciate Seat Sport's efforts during a tricky season, and really pack the South Bank again.:flag:
