Not sure if it's related to this but thought I'd mention it.
Anyway, recently my Ibiza has developed another clonk in the past week. I say another as it was clonking in the past when coming off / on the pedals and that was put down to knackered bushes. I got them replaced by Powerflex ones (both sets of bushes in the front wishbone) and it cured it.
However, the new clonk is intermitent when coming on/off the pedals - most common seems to be when coming off the accelerator. If moving and come off the accelerator (say to keep the gap to the car in front), the steering wheel will pull to one side by a roughly 2 centimetres. It doesn't always seem to go left or right. The tracking also seems to have gone off centre of late but the car hasn't been curbed or bashed (bar the usual speed ramps you find).
I've checked and adjusted tyre pressures but that didn't help the pulling (not that it would have helped the clonk anyway). Car is just shy of 80,000 miles so I suspect something has worn out but clues as to what would help.
Any thoughts?
TIA,
Chris
