bulb guard in headlights

is it possible to remove this or buy it seperatly?

I want to fit some into my fabia headlights to enable me to fit HIDS

any advice?

As far as I know you can fit HID's without having the diffuser fitted.

ive fitted them but there is a quite a bit of glare.

might be because ive got D2S, should I have D2R bulbs?

thinking a diffuser would help

I don't think earlier Ibiza's have a diffuser fitted (I stand to be corrected) so can't see it making any difference.
And cant see the 'S' or 'R' bulbs being too different as my understanding is that is only a reference to the length of the bulb.
Could it be that your headlamps just need realigning?
Take them to a local MOT centre and ask if they'll check them for you.

there are some D2R/ H7R bulbs which have "blackouts" along the bulb, reducing glare.

does anyone know about the anti-glare caps?

are they removable?

the diffusers are removable

I know cos I bent one whilst fitting my HID's

remove 2 little philips screws for the bulb holder mechanism then the diffuser will hook out

go for the VW polo ones and they have "VW" cut into them

[Ibiza 130 tdi]

There are diffusers on the pre facelift Ibiza headlights and no diffusers on facelift models. So maybe swap them for facelift lights? I have HIDS and fit behind diffuser fine.
