Sorry for the hijack, but anyone know of anywhere near Milton Keynes that can do the cambelt for such a low amount of cash??

I have had a quote today to fit a new cambelt kit and waterpump of £334.

Thats at RM Fisher dealer near Lancaster.

Not including a service though

Jim try vag tech or total vag in leighton buzzard. Im getting mine done on monday and its the cheapest i can find, plus they have a hire car at vag tech. Ive been fuming im paying circa £500 notes as ive not even done 40k but ive hit 4 years but it sounds about right for a cambelt and service.

Vid sounds like a great idea! As you can see how its done as well! wonder how long it will be till its online as that must be cheaper? Sounds like a good place tho!

i had my 40k service done with them recently and they were actually really good. £334 isnt too bad considering its a dealer but its still pretty steep my dad builds cars and knows a **** load more about them than i do so im seriously considering buying the kit & water pump and getting him to do it...

money is really tight at the moment, loads of home improvements & mortgage payments gone up
