Can´t Pass from 5,500rpms!

Hi, my brothers ibiza´s FR 150hp has a weird problem... nothing shows up on the Vag-Com, and car simply won´t pass 5,500 rpms... after a TBA it does go fully to 7,200rpms but then it falls to 6,500.. (same gear) and later it will do no more than 6,000rpms... and Again later in same gear it won´t go farther than 5,500rpms and stays like that...

Testing was made in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear several times...

it has everything OEM.
any ideas?

no serious note sounds like a dealer visit?

MAF is OK... Dealers don´t know sht... one told me this is how the car is designed to avoid engine damage... LOL!!!

well practiacally he is right in a way, i had the same problem i changed the original AIR BOX FILTER, i removed the entire box , put in a SIMOTA filter i would prefer other brands it was just cheap at the time and it was fine, and still is and the problem was solved.

Fixed the problem... it was the DV.. we fitted the OEM DV and worked perfectly!!!..
