Trying to resolve issues on a complex engine like the 1.8T is a process of elimination though bud, by having a suspect MAF/dirty filter you're adding in other variables.

Har Hum, getting worse everytime I drive it. Just about reaching 10Psi now, had a mate have a listen as I drove past, reckons alot of black smoke from exhaust, suggested turbo could be on way out?

Wouldnt that be blue/white if turbo was dying. Black is petrol burning, which would suggest its overfueling

ya never know, could be a coilpack or 2 gone? this would cause lumpy ride and smoke wouldnt it?

Sounds like a big leak, Im suspecting from the intercooler. Will whip it off tomorro and check pipework/samcos.
Tried old N75 yeah, no change. Unplugged maf, no change. Then noticed air pissing out somewhere when foot on floor. Caused the car to surge like on off like a very aggressive kangarooing motion when hard on the gas! With maf unplugged there is the same problem but it stops the kangarooing..

No mate. When I say crack, it's a goodun.. Straight across 1/2 to 3/4 of the pipe. First bend coming from cooler.

boosting well, requested 2300 hitting 2520, CF values never goin beyond 3 and my MAF value was 143. Never seen higher than 149. Dirty sensor?
