can i fit a cone filter to my ibiza?

hi i was wondering if its possible to fit an open cone air filter to my ibiza its 53 reg 1.2, has anyone done this, any pics??

cool, looks good, did u leave the engine cover off then and im sure theres a tube at the front left open? that ok?

The engine cover wont fit back on as it's connected directly to the intake. It's an engine cover AND an airbox/filter in one.

I don't think that metal tube thing is a big deal, doesn't mention anything in the instructions, and it's got an open portion on the bottom of it anyway, as u cansee from the pic, so if it is connected there's still free air going into it

ok cheers mate, so is there much difference in sound?? i know i wont get any power increase just looking for better sound as its only a 1.2

There is quite a difference in sound yeah, a decent bit louder and sounds more meaty
