Had an update from
cupra to say that my vehicle is still affected by the chip shortage. They said they have no eta on it still. Basically if you call round enough you'll be able to tell that no one has the slightest clue when the vehicles will actually be built and delivered. My
cupra dealer are asking me to update them on whats going on after I speak to
cupra, as they also have no clue whats going on. Its a mess.
So delivery could be next month, could be next year, call back in a few weeks and we will update you is the general message at the moment.
So anyone who has been told that their vehicle is due to be built on x date is not going to happen I would suggest. They have no idea. Its also running in date order I've been told, but may differ on models depending on the production line.
I also asked about
cupra priority they are advertising on website and this only affects the models already built and in UK. So I think only the 150 bhp one no one wants.
I will probably give it until Tuesday next week as that's when
cupra are being updated apparently so will see what they say then. If not I'm probably going to cancel. Its hard to pull the trigger because of how good the deal is and the car itself seems great value, but hard to be without a vehicle for so long. I'm also concerned that the excitement of it turning up after a 8 month wait may be a bit of a letdown due to all the infotainment related issues. Meh.
