Just started doing this......

Mk2 Toledo 1.8 20V

Car is fine acceleration and performance-wise until I hit 65-70 mph, and then that's it. Went down to Yeovilton a couple of weeks back, and it was happily cruising along at 80-ish. On the return leg, hit the A303, and the damn thing started hesitating when I started hitting about 65+

I'm thinking MAF sensor or coil, but anyone got any other suggestions?

Oh. One more thing. It was okay until I topped it up with oil (Shell Helix Plus), although I doubt that's got anything to do with it, but just in case.

Cheers as always

Maybe your air intake is blocked by leaves or something? I'd remove the air filter and have a quick look. It's free to do and would rule out one possible cause.

Thanks CarGuy....

Checked that as a matter of course.

Have now found out it's the Lambda sensor that's gone up the creek, along with a coolant sender, so that's the probable cause. Anyway, getting it fixed tomorrow, so she'll be all well again.

Sorry for delay in replying. Damned email never alerted me to the reply
