car keeps revving on overrun

Cars started to have a little problem. When giving it stick and you let off and it just keeps revving to about 6 and a half k then drops back off.

Would like to know where to start looking, or any one else had previous problems.

Your In luck I had the same problem. Theres a clutch pressure switch at the pedal. If this has gone fault this is your problem.

Where that situated? It only seems to do it in first. Although in second and third the revs stay at what ever I let off then eventually drop.

thats just above the clutch pedal. you have to take the covers off
yea they should drop almost instantly to an extent.
but the over rev sounds like the

Spot on cheers I'll take a look tomorrow. To an extent yeah I don't expect them to drop to idle revs instantly but I do expect then to gradually go down instead of staying where I let off or even revving to the limiter on occasions.

Sorted now. Turned out to be the clutch pressure switch like you said. Took it off, cleaned it up. Blew all the crap out the connections now its spot on.

I have same problem in 2nd mainly if i let it come on boost then go to change the revs shoot up. Ill give this a try. Can they be cleaned or do they need replacing?
