Well, after having my car remapped a few months back, I had finally asked the dealer in my area to take a look at it (not boosting properly, limp modes... money spent getting the mechanical side checked out)..
He said I should take it to the HQ in Bromsgrove - they can see just what its doing then. So I book a place for today, as I was told they were buy the week before at a show...
So, after fooking about with the ECU for a lil while and struggling to get it to flash it from the ODB port they took it to the "Dream Room" so so nice things, guys really seemed to know what they were doing and sorted out me ECU.. woo!
took it out for a spin, boost gauge reading 9 PSI.... DOH!!!
After they bought me and a mate some dinner we waited for a guy they had called and once arrived I started talking to him he really knew his VAG's!! Looked over boost pipes etc before whipping out VAG-COM..
They finally got it shoved on the RR and gave it a spin.... 206.7 hp!!! All mechanics working ok too!.. Guess who had a faulty boost gauge? bloody e-bay pap!
Wooo. Nice Remap....
So, I left there, on what I thought to be good terms, all sorted out for free... As discussed over the telephone with my dealer & HQ.. I even bought a Ferrari calendar as did my m8.. money goes to charity but its sort of a "thank you"...
Driving home I get a very odd phone call from HQ saying they had no record of giving me a free remap (technically its not free, its just sorting out the one the dealer put on in the first place)... and after some arguing he told me to think of it as a x-mas present (in a very odd tone!!) He also told me the rep/dealer I had been using (that they seem to know) aint actually a dealer (news to me and the dealer)
All in all, good day out, got to see what car was doing, ended up me looking like an IDIOT (the thing im most annoyed at, crossed wires somewhere??).
All in all, Brill day out, spoiled at last minuite by some very shoddy customer service that im sure could of been sorted out properly if the person who called didnt fly of the hook and throw his dummies out of the pram.
Car performance seems spot on, lots of fun and now I get nice and smooth power!
Would I take another car there? NO. Customer service goes along way imho...
PS - Due to some crap on SC.Net and this company "HQ" my origional post was removed - I have now removed all links / names of the company....
