Hi guys just noticed tonight as i went to lock my car as normal that it didn't.
Usually there is the noise of the pump operating but nothing my indicators flash as thou its locking but nothing happens.
Any ideas asap would be great.

Is it hidden under the carpet as me sub box sits at the back for the boot and don't remember seeing it.

Thanks flapper i gave it a try but still nothing i don't think its the programming of the key as it responds to the key by the indicators flashing as thou its locking/unlocking but theres just no sound from the pump and it doesn't even try to unlock?

ye with you there - check the pump out at the back (osr) first whilst trying to lock/unlock it

the pump feeds all the solenoids by air so hopefully its working and just a pipe split/broke somewhere

ps- theres one in the boot too so check in the grommets from the bootlid for breaks if its symptoms similar

Where exactly is the pump hiding itself?
I think the pump may have gone as there is no noise from it at all just silence.

if you look inside the rear drivers inner wing usually tucked away under the rear lamp to the outside of the inner skin

they sit in a block of foam split in 2 halves about the size of a small halfords air compressor

Ok i'll have to have a hunt around on Saturday for it is there a way of testing it?

operating the remote whilst its out on the boot floor usually a good sign - must admit nt come across a faulty one yet but could most likely dig a wiring diagram out if you get stuck

From what i've read before i thought that people with leaking hoses still had the pump noise but doors don't unlock whereas mine makes no noise at all?

ye - blimey my knees are still sore ;) ooo-er

sjc59:

for reference it's fed from fuse 21 that supplys the hazard/relay also but if your lights are flashing i'd say its getting power ok

3 wires to the motor

brown = earth term 2
green/red = supply term 1
blue/red = supply term 3

the supply wires swap over +1 -3 to lock and -1 +3 to unlock

standard central locking principle really

i'll put my money on the pipe split/broke somewhere as you cant hear the motor usually its the door solenoids that make the grauuuunch noise

*edit*
just a thought what does it do with the key in the lock - i.e. non remote

if u had an air leak the pump would run on for ages after pressing button. As you got no noise at all id start with checking fuses!

You can lock with key manually as i did this. I got so sick of central locking playing up i ripped it out and used key

I have exactly the same problem, the motor got wet and burnt out, i think iT NEEDS REPLACING - any idea how much i should pay from a scrappies?
