Not sure how useful they would be as he has a TFSI petrol engine
If it is tandem pump related, did you ever swap back to your other one?
Hot start issue:Ensure car is hot! Disconnect the injector loom to stop the car starting. ignition on, start logging and recording with VCDS (just RPM to get a high sample rate). Keep turning car over until cranking speed stabilises and reaches/holds a peak.
Once done review log and see how long/how many turns its taking to reach a decent speed. Reconnect injector loom and clear the fault code for it
For cold start issue, log the injector balance whilst its playing up, and look through VCDS for a misfire counter, really cant remember if there is one for your engine/ecu
