Carpet underlay

Hi all, can anyone tell me if the underlay which sits under the carpet is the same on all leons? I have a 2004 cupra r and am looking for a replacement for my stinky one. Gotta love these sieves hey. Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing so not 100% though. I presume it's smelly due to water leaking in? Have you fixed the leak? (If there was one)

Yeah, it was the door seals, three of them were leaking. Unfortunately I didn't know about this forum before I bought the car, I would have checked for common faults etc and found out about the leaks beforehand. The car had obviously leaked for some time as they were absolutely saturated and stinking once dry, so a new set is the only cure. Fixed my third gear whine using the shim method which is spot on, just need to service her now, so looking into the best oil, plugs etc to get.

Ahh right fair enough. I'm sure every leon has the door seal problem. As for plugs and oil I can't help you as for what's best for these 1.8t's as mines diesel ask me anything about the diesels aha

Quantum oil and NGK plugs.
Used both on mine for years..
