Effectively £9k trade-in against a CTR with a list price of £15k (although the CTR was only worth £14k, so in reality £8k for the Clio). However, the top trade price (Glasses' and CAP) for my Clio at the time was only £6.5k, was an April 04-plate Clio 172 import .
Was gutted to see my Clio go too as I'd got the car just how I wanted it, but reliability issues meant I'd struggled to sell it privately...
But good luck with the house hunt Adam. A mate's selling his Clio 182 to fund a house purchase and just bought his replacement car: 1990 G-reg Pug 205 GTI 1.9 on 55k genuine miles, completely standard and unmolested. Lucky find.
